Insomnia Radio Turkey is LIVE

Saturday, 03 March 2007

irtrlogo_2000.jpg

It’s been a long time in the making but Insomnia Radio Turkey is live now. I have been an avid listener of Insomnia Radio Podcast and it feels great to be a part of that big family.

In the show, I will be playing music from independent Turkish artists. I will try to find them wherever they are and feature the songs that I like the most.

I think this is going to be a very niche show among the many great Insomnia Radio family of shows.

If you are interested in hearing even more different music give a listen to IR Turkey. I will do my best to find the best independent music from Turkey and bring it to you.

The only thing I ask from you is to let the bands know that you heard them on IR Turkey. This is very important because there are not any podcasts in Turkey that feature independent artists as Insomnia Radio and many other podcasts in the US do.

So, without further ado, here is how you can get to Insomnia Radio Turkey:

Rocket Sauce = Hard Rock

Thursday, 13 April 2006

Don’t ask me why I neglected to write about one of the podcasts that I like a lot but here it goes. If you are a hard rock fan, do yourself a favor and subscribe to Rocket Sauce. I can guarantee that you will love every single track Julie and Joshua play. It is my official energy source besides Mountain Dew and coffee while I am working on my area paper :)

While you are at it check out Joshua’s other show The Search for Inspirado which I also like and listen to on a regular basis.

Insomnia Radio Live Webcast

Monday, 27 February 2006

IR:Live

Insomnia Radio is organizing an amazing concert featuring The Thieves, Chance & the Choir, and The Recliner in San Francisco. I wish I was there to go to that show to listen to those amazing bands. For those of us who live far away from San Francisco, Jason will be streaming the show live right from the stage. Click on the image to see the details about the show.

You may search Insomnia Radio to find and listen to episodes featuring music from those bands.

UPDATE: IR #67 is featuring two songs from the bands that will be on stage on March 1st. Check it out.
UPTADE 2: Because of internet connection problem the webcast did not happen unfortunately. But seems like it was a killer show. Can’t wait to hear the mp3 of the show.

Lecture Podcasts

Wednesday, 22 February 2006

It seems like universities are picking up on podcasting. I had blogged about Vanderbilt News Podcast here before. Today I read on Digg that Berkeley, MIT and Harvard publish some lectures as podcasts. It is interesting to see how technology changes even how the academic content is delivered and reaching to a much broader audience. Probably the next step will be videocasts of courses but I am not sure how far they can go with that since the video totally takes someone to a class. I remember MIT was streaming some of the courses to the public.

I am curious if Vanderbilt will also do something similar and extend its podcasting outreach from university news to classes.

Insomnia Radio Podcast

Saturday, 11 February 2006

IRAre you listening to the Insomnia Radio Podcast? If not, I strongly recommend the show. Jason is doing to the show since the early days of the podcasting craze and I kept listening to his show until this day. The reason I keep listening is not only the great new music but also his enthusiasm and dedication to produce a great show. He now started doing daily shows instead of a one long weekly show and it is much better this way.
