Google Page Creator
I just read at Techcrunch about the release of Google Pages. It looks like a web based FrontPage. The interface and the color choices are based on GMail. It is of course Ajax heavy. One can upload 100 MB of files and images as well. One important note is that there is no domain forwarding or anything like that. Whatever you create there stays there which makes it very difficult for techie users to stick to it, in my opinion. Like the review on Techcrunch notes I am not sure who the target user group is. I used get excited about Google products but they seem to be releasing too many things and they are branched out in many directions. I am having trouble understanding their strategy. I would love to get a snapshot of what they are thinking in a broader scope. How does their "big picture" look like? Are they getting lost in the small details and forgetting about the pieces of the big picture? I would doubt that, but are they? google, ajax, frontpage
