I have not blogged about it but we moved to our new house at the end of March, 21st of March to be precise. We were sick of paying rent for the last 3,5 years and decided to buy a house. After quite a long time of searching and making our minds sure of a possible purchase, we settled on a townhouse that is very close to where we have been living. As all this happened during the time that I was preparing for my prelim exam, it was quite a busy time. It took us about 15 days to close and it took about another 15 days to move in. Hande had to do most of the work of packing the stuff in the house while I was studying. It was a huge advantage that the new place was close since we were able to put stuff in the car and carry to the house when we could. That made it easier at the day of the actual moving since most of the stuff left was heavy stuff. The moving day was easier than we expected since a lot of our friends showed up to help and it went like a breeze. We found ourselves living in our own house in no time.
It is definitely a weird feeling to be living in a house that is yours. Well, not practically ours yet but what is 30 years, right? Admittedly, the increased amount of responsibilities around the house makes us scared a little bit. But we are sure we will get used to it.
